Hematology Oncology Locum Tenens

Facility in Santa Cruz, CA seeking HemOnc locums coverage.

Job Description

• Start Date: March 1st (pending credentialing).
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Availability:
  • Full-Time: 5 days per week.
  • Part-Time: 2 to 3 days per week.
• Patient Volume: patients per day in an ambulatory setting.
• EMR: Cerner.

Clinical Excellence & Infrastructure

Providers will operate within a sophisticated clinical environment designed for optimal patient outcomes and provider support:

• Premier Infusion Center: Co-located at the Hematology Care Center, featuring 15 private bays arranged around a central nursing hub.
• Multidisciplinary Support: Immediate access to nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaisons for oral medications, research coordinators, and genetic counselors.
• Inpatient Connectivity: 17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds and weekly tumor boards.
• Advanced Programs: Rapid diagnosis clinic, two radiation centers, tele-genetics, and access to clinical trials.

Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology (Highly Preferred); Board Eligible will be considered.
• Licensure: Active California (CA) State License is a deal breaker.
• Education: Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program.
• Certifications: Active BLS and DEA.
• Background: Clean malpractice and background history.
• Documentation: A Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation) is mandatory.
