Oncology Locums Coverage

Facility in Ketchikan, AK seeking Oncology locums coverage. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a Critical Access Hospital (Level IV Trauma Center) serving the adult and geriatric population of Southeast Alaska.

Job Description

• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Schedule: In-Person: 5 days per month (8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Remote: 1-hour telehealth conference every Thursday
• Ad Hoc: Telehealth clinics and intermittent staff messaging support as needed
• Work-Life Balance: No call, no rounding, and no admissions
• EMR: EPIC (Proficient users only)
• Patient Volume: 12-16 patients per day during in-person clinic weeks
• Scope of Practice: Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Infusion center oversight
• Solo Practice: The provider will work solo in the oncology department but remains integrated with the broader hospital staff
• Clinical Activity: Must provide case logs from the last 24 months demonstrating active practice in Hematology/Oncology

Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified in Medical Oncology (Required)
• Licensure: Active Alaska (AK) Medical License and active AK DEA must be in hand at the time of presentation
• Certifications: Active BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Experience: Must be a proficient Epic user
