Facility in Williamsport, PA seeking surgery APP locums coverage.

Job Description

• Hourly pay: $150
• Night call rate: $250 pager fee
• 24-hour weekend call rate: $1000
• Call back: $170/hr
• Start date: May 1, 2025
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, then night call 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (rounding approximately 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Estimated shifts per month: 14
• Duties include:
  • Scrubbing for cardiothoracic surgery as first assist
  • Performing endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
  • Scheduled surgical cases and rotating on-call for emergency cases
  • Weekend rounds and inpatient coverage as needed
  • Privileges available: full privileges, temporary privileges available
  • EMR/charting: Cerner and Epic
  • On call: Yes (emergency surgical call only)
  • Will candidate work solo? Yes
  • Average admissions while on call: minimal, surgeons take overnight first call
  • Types of cases seen:
    • CABG (coronary artery bypass graft)
    • Thoracic cases
    • AVR (aortic valve replacement)
    • TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement)
    • Aortic cases

Requirements

• Board certified NP/PA
• Active Pennsylvania state license required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiothoracic surgery experience
• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications required
• DEA required
• Must be able to function independently in the OR
