Job Description

• Schedule: 3x12 (7p-7a) rotating weekends/rotating holidays - (13) week contract
• Work in a 19-bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit treating a variety of diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
• Collaborate in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Conduct timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.

Requirements

• Current state RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Handle with Care completed within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience providing care in mental health and/or substance abuse.
• Supervisory experience required.
