Hematology Oncology Physician
Bon Secours Medical Group is seeking a full-time Hematology Oncology Physician for the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Oncology Department. This provider will provide a broad range of services for oncology and hematology patients and oversee the infusion center as well as assist in daily operations and patient care. They will also be responsible for being one of the on-site primary providers for the cancer center and to have an ambulatory presence in the community.
Job Description
- See patients in the practice and coordinate their care, as well as see patients in the hospital/ER.
- Manage emergencies both on-site and via phone, telephone triage, and supportive care.
- Serve as a mentor, role model, and resource person for the RN staff in the cancer center.
- Assist with policies and procedures, staff education, community outreach, accreditation activities, and participate on institutional committees.
- Maintain compliance with the survivorship program for both campuses.
- Have inpatient responsibilities, which will include initial evaluation, follow-up, collaboration with the Hospitalist team, and coordinating inpatient treatment, as well as outpatient follow-up and treatment.
Position Description
- Provide hematology/oncology care in a high-functioning outpatient community-based practice setting.

- Participate in tumor board, cancer committee, and commission on cancer (CoC) accreditation.
- Additional support staff.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- New York Medical License.
- Board eligible or board certified in hematology/oncology.

- Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.
