As a member of our team, you will be responsible for covering a diverse range of general cases, including general surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedics, urology, thoracic, vascular, plastic surgery, ENT, dental, ophthalmology, and obstetrics/gynecology. The care is provided across various settings, including 9 main operating rooms, an outpatient surgical center, labor and delivery, and limited out-of-operating-room sites.

The on-call schedule is designed to ensure work-life balance, with 1st call approximately 3 to 4 times per month, 2nd call approximately 2 to 3 times per month, and weekend calls occurring once every 6 to 8 weeks. Calls are managed from home, with a 15-minute response time. We offer equitable distribution of calls, moderate to very light call intensity, and efficient late shift scheduling. In addition to competitive compensation, full-time anesthesiologists are employed by the University of Vermont Network Medical Group, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.
