**Job Description**

- Oversee the nursing staff and operations within an oncology unit or department.
- Ensure high-quality patient care, coordinating staff activities, managing resources, and providing support and guidance to nursing personnel.
- Develop protocols and policies to enhance patient care and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

- Supervise nursing staff in the department, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for infusion and clinic settings.

**Duties/Responsibilities**

- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement best practices to improve care quality.

- Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff on oncology best practices, new treatments, and advancements in patient care.

- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to address patient needs.
- Address concerns and questions from patients and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources throughout their treatment journey.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Optimize resource allocation to enhance patient care while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure staff are trained and prepared for emergency situations, implementing protocols for crisis management as needed.

**Education/Experience**

- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in oncology preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.

**Licenses/Certifications**

- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of North Dakota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or similar certification is advantageous.
