Lander is also one of the few Wyoming towns that allows snowmobiles on city streets. Ice-skating and hockey are other popular winter activities at Lander City Park. Fishing spots are plentiful; Christina and Louis Lakes are known for their lake trout and brook trout, while Boysen Reservoir is a popular spot for anglers fishing for walleye, ling, perch, catfish, trout, and sauger.
