**Primary Care Physician**

Cross Country Locums is seeking a Primary Care physician for a contract position in South Dakota. 

**Job Description**

- Ability to provide physicians in a timely manner who diagnose and treat medical and minor surgical illnesses, perform follow-up, and obtain consultation for medically complex patients of all ages who present for care in an urgent care setting.
- Work shifts will typically be 8 to 10 hours and will be worked between the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday, including holidays. Occasionally additional hours may be required. The typical workweek will be 40-50 hours per week, and the provider will typically be scheduled to cover the closing work shift of 11 AM to 8 PM depending on staffing. Work shifts on the weekends will be 4 hours each day from 1 PM to 5 PM. If a provider is scheduled to work on a holiday or weekend, additional time off may be scheduled during the work week.

**Requirements**

- Contract physicians shall be board certified, eligible, or have partial completion of an accredited residency program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within Family Medicine/General Medicine within the past 36 months, and must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
- BC/BE required.
- Proof of current immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu) status and a current PPD within the past year.
- CV in Month/Year format with no unexplained gaps.
