Responsibilities <ul><li> Independently performs as well as assists pathologists in the accessioning, dissection, evisceration, description autopsy, and histologic sampling of a full range of anatomical specimens. </li><li> Prepares tissues for microscopic examination, including preparation of frozen and permanent sections for light, electron and immunoflourescent microscopy. </li><li> Performs postmortem examinations by functioning as the primary prosector to include external examination, in-situ organ inspection, evisceration, dissection, dictation of organ weights, and gross anatomic findings to find cause of death. Assures the completion of the autopsy report and proper filing for future retrieval. </li><li> Maintains all gross room and morgue equipment, pathology archives, and archived specimens.
