This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with one Saturday per month. Typical shifts are 8 hours, but flexibility with start and end times is required. **Job Description**

- Work with the Facility Manager, facility staff, and physician to coordinate facility operations and patient procedures to ensure quality patient care daily in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and training.
- Provide nursing support to patients and staff.
- Assist with staffing, staff training, equipment, physician and patient relations, cost containment, supply management, medical records, patient billing, OSHA compliance, and all company, state, and federal regulations.
- Responsible for supporting and driving organization quality standards through meeting regulatory requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Accountable for outstanding quality of patient care by ensuring that organization/ASC policies and procedures are followed.
- Aggressively address and act on adverse events and action thresholds.
- Supervise and direct facility staff in providing safe and effective vascular access procedures to patients.
- Assign and delegate tasks to all direct patient care staff, including Staff RNs, Radiology Technologists, and Front Desk Coordinator.
- Ensure adequate staffing through daily management of staff schedules.
- Assess daily patient needs and develop/distribute patient care assignments appropriately.
- Monitor patient care staff for appropriate techniques and adherence to facility policy and procedures.
- Recommend and initiate disciplinary action in conjunction with the Facility Manager.
- Assist Facility Manager with staff performance evaluations.
- Participate in selection, orientation, and training of staff as assigned.
- Perform and set up in-services regarding equipment, supplies, and clinical for all staff.
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge.
- Educate patients and their families regarding pre and post-procedure care of vascular access.
- Ensure timely scheduling of patient procedures and efficient utilization of facility capacity.
- Assist with patient workflow, including providing direct patient care and monitoring pre, intra, and post-procedure.
- Oversee accurate documentation of patient treatments from admission to discharge.
- Confirm written orders, consents, and lab work are completed in accordance with facility policies.
- Assume primary responsibility in emergency situations and maintain competency with emergency operational procedures.
- Administer medications and IV conscious sedation to patients as directed per physician's orders.
- Attend and participate in Governing Body and CQI meetings with physicians.
- Ensure appropriate operation of facility equipment and technology.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in the vascular access facility at all times.
- Address blood spills according to organization Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies.
- Participate in cost control initiatives to achieve supply cost goals.
- Assist in the development and revision of applicable policies and procedures for continuous process improvement.
- Manage medications, including ordering, receiving, inventory control, and checking for expired medications.
- Communicate with the pharmacist to assure medication accuracy.
- Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant prior to patient discharge.
- Participate in all facility regulatory and accreditation surveys.

**Requirements**

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.).
- Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification; ASC certification preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience preferred in an Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access Lab or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU/CCU experience.
- Minimum of three years of Interventional Radiology scrub experience preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience within a medical or vascular access environment preferred.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; experience with medical database software is necessary.
- Good communication skills - verbal and written.
- Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications.

**Compensation**

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate's work location and qualifications. 

Annual Rate: $94,000.00 - $158,000.00
