**Pain Medicine Physician**

Join our team as a Pain Medicine Physician for a scheduled clinic and call coverage. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment while providing care to patients in need.

**Job Description**

- Coverage needed from December 27th at 8 AM to January 12th at 8 AM
- Candidates do not need to have an active Kansas license but must have a clean malpractice history to obtain a license quickly
- The site can break up the coverage dates into two blocks but prefers only two providers to cover
- Available for clinic questions/refills Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, seeing clinic patients for approximately 3-4 hours per day
- Hospital coverage is available 24/7 with calls and rounding during the day
- No more than 6 patients seen per day in the clinic
- Call is required nights and weekends, with phone consults available 24/7
- Support staff includes a PA for 30 hours per week
- Age of patients is 18 and older
- Both inpatient and outpatient care provided
- Charting is done using Epic EMR
- Board certified or board eligible candidates are preferred
- Fellowship is not required
- Reason for need: Physician is going on vacation

**Requirements**

- Provider must be comfortable filling pain medications and controlled substances for outpatients (provider will have access to patients' charts)
- No outpatient procedures within a shift
