**Job Description**

- The VA Portland Healthcare Center is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified Staff physician position in Neurology specializing in Parkinson's & Movement Disorders (Board Eligibility considered) to help care for our Veterans, America's heroes.
- The Portland Veterans Affairs Healthcare Center Neurologists manage a variety of neurological movement disorders conditions of Veteran patients, including Parkinson's disease, atypical Parkinsonian disorders, dystonia, Huntington's disease, and others.
- You will see general neurology patients with inpatient Neurology duties, which include both ward and consult service.
- Participate in all aspects of a Movement Disorders Neurology program, including clinical, administrative, academic, and research components.
- Patient caseload may be inpatient, outpatient, or both and include a range of neurological disorders.
- Must be comfortable with DBS programming for multiple platforms.
- Have some procedural experience with botulinum toxin injections for hemi-facial spasm, migraine, blepharospasm, dystonia, and occipital nerve blocks, but training can be an option.
- Manageable volume & on-call, maximum of 4 weeks per year.
- Board Certification in Neurology is required.

**Requirements**

- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
