Southern California Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Residential Treatment Psychiatrist Locums Job Starting ASAP Details/Requirements: Need is for 2/2/26 - 2/6/26 for 10-15 hours a week to cover a caseload of 10 patients. Need is to cover one 6 bed girls dual diagnosis residential treatment program and one 6 bed boys dual diagnosis residential treatment program. 100% remote tele health. Client uses a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom for tele health. Board Certified Child Psychiatrist is strongly preferred; however, will consider a board certified adult psychiatrist who s experienced with adolescents ages 12-17, but most patients are ages 14-17. Current census is 10 patients, 5 for each program. ALOS: 45 days Hours: somewhat flexible as long as they're between 8am-5pm, M,W, Th, and Friday; however, Wednesdays are mandatory due to treatment team meetings on Wednesdays between 10am - 12 noon. Initial evaluations are 1 hour, follow ups are as much as 30 minutes but can be less for some patients depending on a patient s needs. Some patients are straight mental health with no substance use. Most patients have co-occurring disorders, substance abuse primary diagnosis with depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. being secondary. Initial evaluations/assessments need to be completed within 48 hours of admission. No formal call, meaning all calls will be done remotely; the locum tenens doctor will never be called back in to see a patient while on call. The locum tenens doctor will receive an average of about 3 calls a week after scheduled hours. All calls are first triaged through the nursing staff before any calls go to the doctor. **Job Description**

POSITION: Physician Family PracticeRESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Medical Director, the physician will perform medical services. The Primary Health Care Physician will examine, perform diagnosis, and treat patients who come to the clinic for acute medical care. Determines the necessity for referral and refers persons requiring special diagnostic procedures and treatments to appropriate sources; discuss findings with external providers; supervise the work of physician assistant and nurse practitioners assigned. Participates in developing the call schedule and provides coverage every four (4) to six (6) weeks. Maintain EHR patient records. Diagnose and treats common health problems; advise and counsel patients of developmental and maturational issues. Identifies, intervenes and provides information for the patient, enabling the patient to make informed decisions and incorporates measures to improve health status. Considers individual cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors; provides referrals and coordinates patient services to promote continuity of care at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels; collaborates and consults closely with other physicians on behalf of patients; responds to patient medical emergencies in life threatening situations. For Pediatric providers, they will assess the growth and development of children 0-18 years and must track and administer immunizations on a schedule. S/he must be able to communicate well with parents and children. The physician will participate in QA/QI, QM, and Peer Review meetings. At minimum, s/he will attend ongoing trainings in using the EHR system, PCMH and attend CMEs. S/he will review quality measures and patient satisfaction surveys and implement necessary improvement plans to reach required thresholds. S/he will perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the Board Certified principles and practices of modern medicine including preventive medicine. Mature judgment, tact, discretion and confidentiality are mandatory. Position requires a professional, pleasant and effective representation of the corporation. Bilingual (Spanish/English) bilingual highly preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California drivers license. Must submit to and pass a drug test, fitness for duty and a criminal background clearance as a pre-condition for employment.
