- Participation in the care of patients in ICU, Cardiology, Cysto, Endoscopy, Radiology, Emergency room, and any special procedural care areas as requested.
- Provide timely anesthetic consultations.
- Attend departmental meetings and conferences.
- Adhere to medical staff by-laws and departmental directives and policies.
- Meet continuing education requirements and participate in Continuing Medical Education Programs.
- Meet anesthesia-related documentation requirements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and standards essential to the delivery of quality anesthetic care.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork through collaborative practices and effective communication between disciplines throughout the facility.
- Participate in research projects when requested.

The incumbent will demonstrate administrative competence regarding fulfilling responsibilities for meeting VACO and JCAHO requirements, especially those in the areas of medical staff responsibilities and for credentialing and privileging the professional staff. Results of JCAHO reviews, Regional Survey Team findings, Internal Facility Reviews, and any other evaluations by external or internal groups will be noted, and any deficiencies will be appropriately and timely addressed.
