**Physician - Emergency Medicine**

Join our team as a Physician in Emergency Medicine, providing care in a dynamic emergency room setting in Alexandria, Louisiana. This locum tenens position offers a variety of clinical shifts and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population.

**Job Description**

- Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, APPs, and specialty consultants
- Utilize EMR systems (Meditech, transitioning to EPIC) for patient documentation

**Requirements**

- Active Louisiana state medical license required
- ATLS certification (required for FM-trained physicians)
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required for all physicians)
- Must have completed an EM or FM residency
- If FM-trained, must have proof of ED experience within the past two years
- Acceptable boards include ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM. ABPS boards are not accepted.

The facility handles approximately 49,500 visits annually, with a patient volume of about 135 patients per day. The patient demographics are mixed, primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric patients. Robust specialty backup is available onsite, and scribe coverage is provided for 10 hours daily.
