- The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures that help physicians detect, diagnose, and monitor medical conditions.
- This role plays a vital part in patient care by analyzing blood, tissue, and other bodily specimens using advanced laboratory equipment and established testing methodologies to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician processes and evaluates patient specimens, performs routine and specialized laboratory testing, and ensures the reliability and accuracy of test results.
- The technologist follows strict laboratory protocols and quality control procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician also maintains detailed documentation in the laboratory information system, prepares and calibrates laboratory instruments, and assists with troubleshooting equipment or testing issues as needed.
