**Daily Range of Responsibilities**

- Study, diagnose, and treat illness, injuries, and other ailments
- Knowledge of medical ethics, human anatomy, pharmacology, and other specialties depending on the field
- Provide preventative care
- Detect developing health problems
- Give advice to help patients develop healthy habits

**Requirements**

- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Current BLS or ACLS, or equivalency
- All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times
