**Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse**

Join our team at UVMHN Porter Medical Center, a facility with 25 beds, specializing in Medical Surgical Telemetry and some Progressive Care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on patient care.

**Job Description**

- Provide care for medical surgical telemetry patients, including those with orthopedic, urology, ENT, GYN, and general surgical diagnoses.
- Work with a patient age range from young adults to end of life.
- Maintain a nurse-patient ratio generally of 1:4 or 1:5, depending on acuity.
- Utilize the EPIC documentation system and the PYXIS medication system.
- Follow a 12-hour shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM/AM, with manager-driven scheduling.
- Fulfill holiday requirements as needed to staff the unit.

**Requirements**

- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry.
- Preferred certifications include Vermont or Compact License, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
