**Job Description**

- Specialty: General Surgery (NP/PA)
- Dates Needed: Starting December 16, 2024
- Reason for Need: Turnover Vacancy
- Shifts Available:
  - Friday: 4 PM - 7 AM
  - Saturday-Sunday: 7 AM - 7 AM (includes rounding from 7 AM-12 PM)

**Responsibilities**

- Floor Management:
  - Conduct daily patient rounds, progress notes, orders, and discharge instructions.
  - Manage post-op care, including dressing changes and removal of drains/NGTs.
  
- Consults & ER Admissions:
  - Evaluate and document consults for ER patients or those admitted to other services.
  - Communicate operative plans with attending surgeons.
  
- Operative Duties:
  - First-assist in general surgery cases, including open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures.

**Clinical & Operational Details**

- Support Staff: APP/Mid-Level coverage available.
- EMR System: Epic.
- Patient Demographic: 100% adult patients.
- Estimated Shifts: 20 shifts per month.
- Procedures Required: Daily bedside procedures, operative first-assist.

**Requirements**

- Certifications:
  - BLS, CPR Required.
  
- Licensure:
  - Active Pennsylvania License Required.
  
- Experience:
  - Minimum of 2 years in general surgery, including operative first-assist experience.
  
- DEA Registration: Required.

Credentialing Timeline: 90 days.

**Benefits**

- Rates: $130/hr
- Orientation: $130/hr
- Night Call: $300 and $150/hr callback
- 24 Hour Call: $900/hr with 4 hour gratis and $150/hr call back after 4 hours
