**Requirements**

- Board Certification: Must be certified in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
- Licensing: Active Texas license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS are required
- Fellowship: Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is necessary
- Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, advanced procedures including ERCP, PEG placement, and esophageal manometry, expertise in upper and lower GI endoscopy including biopsies, polyp excisions, and liver biopsies
- Call Details: On-call responsibilities include a response time of 30 minutes with approximately 20% callback rate
