- Provide Gastroenterology care, including clinical services, procedures, consultations, and related procedures.
- Ensure punctuality for scheduled clinics and procedures, adhering to established medication policies and procedures.
- Deliver discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for Gastroenterology patients.
- Attend staff meetings as required by the VAMC Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee, and communicate any conflicts with compliance.
- Complete appropriate QM/PI documentation for procedures, complications, and outcomes, following patient safety and infection control standards.
- Make efforts to prevent medication errors, falls, and patient injuries in care delivery.
