**Registered Nurse**

Your job as a registered nurse is to render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. You will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

**Job Description**

- Adhere to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
- Assume responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
- Communicate to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluate understanding of informational manner.
- Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

**Requirements**

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- Work experience: at least 2 years+ L&D RN experience

**Work Schedule**

- Hours of Work: 7p-7a
- Days of Week: Nights
- PRN Tier 3 Requirements:
  - Four (4) shifts per pay period
  - Three (3) weekend shifts per quarter
  - Two (2) MHS recognized holidays per calendar year
