Examines patients to determine general physical condition, following standard medical procedures.

Orders laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained. Determines the nature and extent of mental disorders and formulates treatment programs. Treats or directs treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.

- Strong knowledge of general medicine and psychotherapy, current developments in the field of psychology, hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.
- Capable of preparing written reports and able to handle legal depositions and court hearings.
- Maintains an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- Must have an unrestricted and valid prescriptive authority with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS).

- Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
- Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol.
- Adheres to PREA and HIPAA regulations.
- Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility.
- Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication with supervising staff.
