Opportunity: Board Certified/Eligible - Gastroenterology Job Details: • Provide gastroenterology services to address current shortages across two hospital locations • See 10+ patient encounters per day • Position includes various coverage options: 24-hour call only, 24-hour call with clinic hours, or clinic coverage only • Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices • Conduct ERCP procedures (both diagnostic and therapeutic) • Perform PEG procedures and esophageal dilatation/manometry with interpretation • Handle small bowel biopsies • Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy • Conduct colonoscopies with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is preferred but not required • Liver biopsy skills are preferred but not required • Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube skills preferred but not required • Must have current North Carolina medical license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • Board certification/eligibility required • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days • Coverage at both Harris Regional Hospital (Sylva) and Haywood Regional Medical Center (Clyde) Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Kug8uIF0eFqObEj%2bHA42lAn" width="0" height="0" />
