**Radiologic Technologist**

**Job Description**

- Perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and protocols, continually updating skills and knowledge.
- Assist management with in-services on the use of x-ray equipment and radiation exposure.
- Monitor safety practices with the lab, dealing with radiation exposure.
- Instruct patients on pre and post-procedure limitations and restrictions.
- Operate and monitor radiographic/x-ray equipment during procedures.
- Provide accurate information to family throughout the procedure when needed.
- Keep accurate patient charges and ensure all required paperwork is signed, dated, and timed by physicians.
- Maintain complete patient records pre-procedure, during procedure, and post-procedure.
- Educate patients on pre-procedure, during procedure, and post-procedure events/instructions.
- Complete assessments of pain before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor patients' pulses and vital signs while in holding status and relay accurate information to the appropriate person.
- Maintain hemostasis while holding venous/arterial pressure.
- Provide accurate pre and post-procedure instructions to patients/families.
- Check all equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Facilitate resolution of conflicts or problems within the team.
- Serve as a resource person and accept delegated authority as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

**Requirements**

- Associate Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required.
- 2-4 years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
- 3-5 years clinical experience in an invasive lab setting preferred.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
- ARRT Radiography Certification required.
