**Job Description**

Our ICU unit is comprised of 6 beds with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. You will be playing a crucial role in making our community at Fort Mohave healthier and will be part of a team with a positive and collaborative work environment. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across disciplines to coordinate patient care as well as opportunities for growth and to enhance your skills in critical care. Per Diem position.

**Requirements**

- Current state RN license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Associate's degree required
- Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) required on hire
- Basic Life Support Certification is required on hire
- ACLS required upon hire; BLS is not required if employee has current ACLS
- TNCC Certification within 6 months of hire
- 1 year ICU experience preferred

- The Medical-Surgical Unit has 38 beds. The RN assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.

The Surgery Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients requiring an invasive procedure based upon age-specific and cultural needs. The RN monitors patient vital signs and condition during the intraoperative phase. Communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, surgeon, anesthesia, and family. 

Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols. Monitors the sterile field and surgical environment to prevent infection. Follows Universal Protocol and participates in time out as part of patient safety initiatives.
