Heritage Rehab is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy department at our Logan facility. This position can allow for a full-time status (30-32 hours), part-time status (15-20 hours), or consistent PRN status.

The starting pay rate for full-time (30-32 hours) is $42 with fluctuation based on relative experience. Additional hours are available at our Canal Winchester location. Part-time offers flexible scheduling and PTO accrual. PRN offers competitive compensation.

**Job Description**

- Assign patient care activities to professional and non-professional personnel.
- Interpret responsibilities and SNF policies to therapy personnel.
- Assure the execution of doctor's orders.
- Oversee the maintenance of the therapy records (medical, personnel, accounting, billing, etc.).

**Primary Therapy Responsibilities**

- Evaluate and treat communication disorders, including motor speech disorders, language disorders, cognitive language deficits, and voice disorders.
- Provide direct patient services to improve the cognitive, communicative, and/or swallowing abilities of neurologically impaired persons.
- Evaluate, treat, and provide case management for dysphagic patients.
- Provide documentation to maintain quality of the medical records, as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, accuracy of billing information, and facility requirements.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes and adhere to professional standards of practice.
- Follow administrative policies and procedures related to emergency procedures, infection control, and safety.
- Coordinate and/or participate in training programs for facility staff, residents, families, and rehabilitation staff.
- Initiate new program development with a focus on functional outcomes to improve the quality of life of the people residing in the facility.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Requirements**

- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice in Ohio.
