- Educate patients and/or families about their medical issues.
- Assist with care and discharge planning throughout the patient's hospital stay.
- Maintain legible, timely, accurate, and confidential medical records.
- Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations.
- Provide ongoing oversight of patient bed placement criteria.
- Utilize the hospital Electronic Health Record (EHR) to ensure timely, accurate, and complete patient medical records.

**Requirements**

- PhD, MD, or professional degree in medicine from an accredited medical school.
- Current MD or DO Texas License.
- Certification in BCLS and ACLS; current state and federal narcotics licenses.
