- Participate in the care and medical decision-making for preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative patients at both Indianapolis locations.
- Perform endoscopic vein and radial artery harvest using the Maquet Vasoview Hemopro I and/or Hemopro II systems.
- Serve as the surgical first assistant for cases including CABG, aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, ECMO insertion, VAD insertion, and heart transplant cases.
- Order, perform, and interpret imaging, data, and labs.
- Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement.
- Navigate and create records in the patient chart using the Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR systems.

**Requirements**

- Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following: Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

When indicated and medically necessary, meet with patients for a pre-scheduled individual session to review medical progress.
