The Cytotech microscopically evaluates all types of cytology specimens submitted to the cytopathology laboratory; screens cytologic material and recognizes abnormalities identified and renders an interpretation diagnosis using the laboratory information system; appropriate cases are sent to the Cytopathologists for final interpretation consideration; assists Rapid-On Site Evaluations in multiple services including Bronchoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and surgical clinics; and more!

**Job Description**

- Microscopically evaluate all types of cytology specimens submitted to the cytopathology laboratory
- Screen cytologic material and recognize abnormalities
- Render interpretation diagnoses using the laboratory information system
- Send appropriate cases to the Cytopathologists for final interpretation consideration
- Assist Rapid-On Site Evaluations in multiple services including Bronchoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and surgical clinics

**Requirements**

- College degree
- ASCP certification
- Florida license
- Prior experience
