This position requires working 12-hour primary shifts and 12-hour backup shifts, with 1 daytime in-house and 1 nighttime in-house shift, totaling 7 shifts in a row either once or twice per month. Surgeons will respond to all trauma codes, perform emergency general surgery, and round in the ICU for trauma patients only.

**Job Description**

- Work at a 278-bed hospital with an annual volume of 24,000
- Handle trauma Level II cases with an admission rate of approximately 900 per year (90% blunt, 8% penetrating)

**Requirements**

- Board Certified in General Surgery and Critical Care
- ATLS, PALS certifications
- DEA, CSR, IN license, and COVID vaccine required
