**Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist**

Inpatient Adult Psychiatry opening in CT near Hartford. Located in Norwich, CT; 40 miles from Hartford, 135 miles from New York City. This is a full-time, employed, permanent position for a BE/BC psychiatrist.

**Job Description**

- Join a cohesive multidisciplinary team at an established 213-bed acute care community hospital.
- Work in an 18-bed inpatient adult unit, with outpatient services including PHP/IOP.
- Share after-hours weekday call with 4 other psychiatrists, which is paid separately. Weekend call is optional and also paid separately.
- Collaborate with leadership and colleagues focused on the development and maturation of early career psychiatrists.
- Provide care for individuals requiring behavioral health or substance use services, and offer psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to other services and to the ER, if needed.
- Manage robust and steady consultation requests that are not overwhelming or busy.
- Act as a clinical team leader for the coordination and supervision of care provided across clinical disciplines, including guiding and leading other clinicians in formulating and implementing treatment plans.
- Supervise selected medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals.
- Participate in Medical Staff Committees and attend meetings regarding Medical Staff regulations.
