**Requirements**

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine.
- Board certification in maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
- While specific requirements may vary, most locum maternal-fetal medicine physician positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
