Patient Volume: The busiest that they've ever been has been 15 admissions, however, that's only happened once. On average seeing 5-10 admissions/night. Their ED group is amazing and they're not going to burn out the hospitalists with stupid things that they can handle on their own. Have to do admits that come in from the ER. However, if it's a family medicine patient they do the initial admit and they're immediately turned over to family medicine services. For codes, whoever s closest will respond to code until the ED doctor gets there. Procedures: Surgical residents do the central lines - they don't have to do procedures. EMR: Meditech License: KY license is a MUST Certifications: BC-IM or BC-FP, ACLS, BLS, DEA Additional Information: MUST have a decent amount of HOSP/IM exp. Make sure to send a CV that has COMPLETE work history, and they must have 3 references within the last year in order to pass credentialing. Must have Flu vaccination. **Job Description**

- Must be able to work the following dates: 8/26-9/2, 9/9-9/15, and 9/16-9/22, with a 7 on/7 off schedule thereafter.
- Orientation starts on 8/25.
- The patient volume typically ranges from 5-10 admissions per night, with a maximum of 15 admissions experienced only once.
- Hospitalists will handle admissions from the ER, with family medicine patients being turned over to family medicine services immediately.
- For codes, the closest hospitalist will respond until the ED doctor arrives.
- Surgical residents perform central line procedures; hospitalists are not required to do procedures.
- EMR system used is Meditech.

**Requirements**

- Must have a valid Kentucky medical license.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine (BC-IM) or Family Practice (BC-FP) is required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications are necessary.
- A significant amount of hospitalist or internal medicine experience is required.
- Must provide a CV with complete work history and three references from the past year for credentialing.
- Must have a flu vaccination; exemptions for COVID-19 can be religious or medical, but not for the flu.
