Opening for Anesthesiology Physician in Sedalia, MO. This full-time, permanent position offers an employed opportunity to join a team in Sedalia, Missouri, located 60 minutes from Columbia and 90 minutes from Kansas City.

**Job Description**

- Join 2 board-certified anesthesiologists and a team of 5 CRNAs.
- 1:8 primary call and 1:8 backup; backup call is one week at a time with rare call back.
- Must be within a 30-minute response time while on call, with most taking call from home.
- Anesthesiologists provide medical direction; surgeons will provide supervision when CRNAs are first call.
- Work in a 108-bed hospital with 5 OR suites and a separate C-section suite, plus 2 endoscopy suites.
- Handle approximately 3,200 OR cases per year: 26% inpatient cases and 74% outpatient cases.
- Cases include general surgery, OB/Gyn, ENT, ortho, urology, and endoscopy.
- Healthy pediatric ENT procedures such as ear tubes, tonsils, and frenuloplasties.
- Bread and butter anesthesia with most cases finished by 3 PM.
- Manage around 480 deliveries per year with a 34% C/S rate and 22% primary C/S.
- 62% of patients choose to have epidurals.
- CRNA provides primary coverage when taking primary call.
- Neuraxial and regional skills required; expertise with ultrasound-guided techniques preferred.
- No hearts, heads, or backs.
