Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

**Job Description**

- Provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.
- Delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
- Works 36 hours per week with a 3-day weekend work plan option (7a-7p).
- Scheduled work hours consist of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, every Saturday/Sunday plus 1 day during the week. Work 3, get paid for 4 shifts.

**Requirements**

- Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an AHA recognized equivalent, or from the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for most nursing areas within the hospital.

**Physical and Mental Requirements**

- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking continuously.
- Ability to climb stairs infrequently and work indoors continuously.
