- Provide outpatient service and follow-up care to discharged patients
- Provide hospital consult and follow-up coverage one week per month inpatient at Maryview Medical Center
- Focus on reading EEG studies, performing EMGs, Stroke, and Neurophysiology care
- Clinic hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - 5 8-hour days
- Average patient volumes: 18-20 per day in clinic - adult/geriatric
- New consults: average 6 per day
- Call coverage: 1 week per month inpatient at MMC, hospital consults - No Stroke Coverage (telemed covers)
- During the week of inpatient service, there is no service at the outpatient clinic
- 1:1 CMA:MD and APC support in clinic
- EPIC EMR - MyChart for virtual visits as needed
- Abundant referrals and patient volume - anticipate quick ramp-up process
- Occasional training rotations by local medical students
- Joint Commission Advanced Primary Stroke Center since 2010
- Stroke Gold Plus Award from American Heart Association
