Cardiac is a medical/telemetry floor taking post op CABG/open heart patients as soon as day 1 following surgery, TAVRs, Watchmen and other post cath-lab intervention patients (stents, AIF, etc.) but they will never have a sheath, they may come to us with a radial band. None of our patients are on vasoactive drips but we do take amio, cardizem and other cardiac drips and do titrate down to wean. Many of our patients have chest tubes. Acuity is really varied, some patients are simply needing their medications adjusted and have to be supervised in the hospital with serial EKGs but otherwise are completely independent, some of our patients are very complex and sick but based on our treatments/interventions are still appropriate for our floor. **Job Description**

- Patient ratio is 6 patients to 1 nurse.
- Cardiac is a medical/telemetry floor taking post-op CABG/open heart patients as soon as day 1 following surgery, TAVRs, Watchmen, and other post cath-lab intervention patients (stents, AIF, etc.) but they will never have a sheath; they may come to us with a radial band.
- None of our patients are on vasoactive drips but we do take amio, cardizem, and other cardiac drips and do titrate down to wean.
- Many of our patients have chest tubes.
- Acuity is really varied; some patients are simply needing their medications adjusted and have to be supervised in the hospital with serial EKGs but otherwise are completely independent, while some of our patients are very complex and sick but based on our treatments/interventions are still appropriate for our floor.

**Requirements**

- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing required.
- Licensure: Current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support Certification through an American Heart Association approved program.
- Preferred Experience: At least one year previous experience in clinical nursing preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

**Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Springdale**

Join our dynamic team at Mercy Clinic Primary Care in Springdale. This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and is accepting applications for LPN or RN.

**Job Description**

- Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint, taking patient vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, completing a thorough medication reconciliation, working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams, rechecking elevated blood pressures, and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.
- Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point of care testing.
- Administers vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
- Schedules follow-up appointments when needed per office policy.
