- The On Call RN position is responsible for working together to meet the physical, medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs of hospice patients and families facing terminal illness and bereavement. The 24/7 Telephone Triage Nurses filter and triage all calls. The On-Call nurse will only get a call to see new emergent admissions, death visits, or anything that cannot be handled via telephone. They will receive their schedule and will be required to go to any of our locations to provide care for their patient. Responsibilities may include completing a RN admission, visiting a patient at an ALF, nursing home facility, home, hospital, or medical facility. The On Call nurse will work directly with the patient. The total amount of visits may vary per day. This position requires a medical license.
