**Job Description**

- Provide care to patients in the 8-bed, closed ICU, 10-hour day shift, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to medical/surgical/cardiac/ICU patients.
- Demonstrate autonomous care within an ICU setting with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists; demonstrate ability to work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team.
- Commit to excellence in the clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities necessary to best serve our patients.
- Must provide evidence of procedural competence with the following procedures: central lines, arterial lines, intubations, and chest tubes.
- EMR is Epic.

**Requirements**

- Board certified physician assistant with unrestricted license.
- Prior ICU APP practice time - minimum of 2 years post-training ICU practice, including ICU procedures.
- Licensed to practice in Texas.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.

**Scheduling**

- 7, 10-hour day shifts per month, block shift scheduling with occasional available swing shift coverage in the ICU at Texas Health Plano.
