The selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment within the Section of Gastroenterology at Loma Linda University and will be involved with the education and teaching of fellows, medical students, residents, and other providers. **Job Description**

- Complete patient history and physical examinations
- Diagnosis and therapeutic ability
- Effectiveness in emergencies and patient management
- Consultation and specialty skills
- Record keeping and promoting delivery of quality patient care based on current standards in gastroenterology
- Skilled in performing endoscopy
- Identify patient needs and provide care to promote improvement
- Teaching responsibilities include effectiveness in teaching, monitoring, and coordination of educational activities such as planning, evaluating, and documenting
- Teach fellows, residents, and medical students in a hospital setting
- Research responsibilities include identifying and defining significant research and development problems, planning and executing a precise research program, and generating effective reports and results worthy of publication (not required but of significant value)
- Perform inpatient consultations and endoscopy procedures
