Additional responsibilities include updating medical forms and clinic protocols, assisting with inventory management, and participating in the Quality Assurance Committee. In the event of public health concerns such as epidemic outbreaks, poisonings, major accidents, or other critical incidents, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for notifying and coordinating with the Department of Health Services, local health departments, and fire authorities as required. Such occurrences must be reported within 24 hours via telephone, followed by a written confirmation, with an incident report retained on file for one year.
