- Maintain direct patient contact and involvement in patient care in all areas of the hospital.
- Maintain responsibility for the investigation process of quality/risk issues in the Medical/Surgical and ICU/PCU units.
- Organize Medical/Surgical and ICU/PCU structure and plans, direct, and supervise the Nursing Services Department as required in collaboration with nursing leadership and CNO.

**Requirements**

- Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice, and registered under the laws of the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Evidence of leadership and management continuing education activities.
- A broad knowledge of nursing and ability to apply necessary skills and techniques.
- Unit specific certification preferred to Medical/Surgical.
- 1 year of experience as a nursing leader in area assigned with experience in direct clinical supervision required.
- Current BLS, ACLS certification.
- Completion of Critical Care Course.
