Job Summary Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. The Laboratory Technologist will work in but not limited to Cytogenetics, Genetics or Infectious Disease (ID): Clinical laboratory to perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Ensures all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel. Must utilize critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required. If working in South Dakota, consideration will be given to registry eligible candidates obtaining ARRT within six months of hire into position.
