**Job Description**

- Perform ultrasound scanning procedures and exams, including abdominal, renal, aorta, thyroid, carotid, pelvic, obstetrical, biophysical profiles, popliteals, vascular, scrotal, breasts, and color flow studies.
- Report preliminary findings and diagnoses to the radiologist.
- Consult with the radiologist regarding interpretation of scans and reports.
- Interview patients and have the authority to release them, ensuring all reports and services are technically satisfactory.
- Provide written preliminary unofficial reports about the procedures.
- Take representative anatomical pictures and recognize normal versus abnormal anatomy.
- Exhibit knowledge of various pathological processes.
- Ensure the department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industrial information to staff.

**Requirements**

- Prefer graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
- R.D.M.S. or registry eligible.
- Prefer one to two years of work experience.
- Prefer ARDMS certification.

- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is preferred.

- Required to comply with OSHA regulations for the N95 respirator training and fit testing.
