**Job Description**

- Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, which may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education.
- Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, determining final testing parameters in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director.
- Documents routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
- Explains pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient.
- Performs sleep studies including CPAP and BiPAP titration and understands Auto SV therapy.
- Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as necessary.
- Follows procedural protocols such as Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MLT), parasomnia studies, PAP, and oxygen titration to ensure appropriate data collection.
- Scores clinical events according to center-specific protocols.
- Performs routine and complex equipment care and maintenance, evaluating sleep study-related equipment and inventory.
- Scores sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines and is involved in performing outreach sleep studies.

**Requirements**

- Registered Polysomnographer Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) within 1.5 years or
- Respiratory Therapist - Licensing Board upon hire.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Technical Certificate.
- Completion of a Polysomnographic course with documented hours and study via a certificate of completion.
- Minimum of one year of Respiratory Care experience or a new graduate of an accredited program.
