**Job Description**

- Coverage Dates: ASAP through June 30, 2026
- Schedule: Full-time with variable weekly and weekend call
- Practice Setting: Community hospital and affiliated clinic
- Call Coverage: 1:2 ratio; 30-minute response time required
- Patients Per Shift: Approximately 5
- Admissions: Required

**Facility & Support**

- Hospital Certification: Stroke certified
- Facility Accepts: Multiple providers
- Patient Type: Mix of assigned and unassigned patients
- EMR: Cerner

**Clinical Details**

- Must have strong experience in atrial vein harvesting - this is critical
- Must be independent in CVOR and vascular surgery
- Requires endoscopic and open vessel harvesting, including radial

**Surgeries and Procedures Required**

- CABG, EVH, and open vessel harvesting
- TAVR, TACR, vascular surgery, ECMO

**Surgical Duties Include**

- Patient positioning, skin prep, and draping
- Providing wound exposure, closure, and dressing application
- Tissue handling, suction, retraction, cautery, suturing, and dressing application
- Wound VAC use, minor debridement, and operation of surgical equipment (lasers, sterilizers, diagnostic tools)

**Independent Responsibilities**

- Surgical incisions and closures for endoscopic or open vessel harvesting
- Administration of local anesthetics
- Line insertion (arterial and venous)
- Call coverage for invasive and surgical procedures (Cath Lab and bedside)

**Therapeutic Procedures**

- Wound care, venipuncture, venous cutdowns, central line placement
- Intubation, bladder catheterization, chest tube insertion/removal
- Suturing, thoracentesis, cardiac resuscitation/defibrillation, ECG interpretation

**Preoperative Responsibilities**

- Assist in pre-op evaluation and workup
- Confirm OR schedule, blood availability, and pre-surgical data

**Postoperative Responsibilities**

- Monitor and assess patient progress
- Report pertinent changes to surgeon
- Implement indicated therapy per CVT surgery protocols

**Qualifications**

- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania license (required)
- Certifications: BLS required
