There is an ongoing need starting August 18, 2025, at 7 a.m. for a Board-Certified Neonatologist with an active North Carolina license and a clean malpractice and NPDB record. The need arises due to the primary provider retiring and cutting back. This is an inpatient practice setting with a Level 2 nursery, requiring IP rounding and call coverage only. The provider will round on all newborns and NICU patients, with the average number of patients depending on labor and delivery typically around 3 newborns and possibly 3 inpatients, with a maximum of up to 6. Rounding typically takes 2 to 4 hours per day. While on call, the provider can expect up to 7 calls and may be called back in 2 to 4 times within a 24-hour shift. No surgeries or procedures are required. The EMR system used is Paragon, and there is support from hospital staff, the Market Director, Manager, and Practice Manager.
