Seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide essential care in a non-trauma center. Responsibilities include suturing, I&Ds, fracture management, and stabilizing critical patients. Requires three years of experience, BLS, PALS, and DEA credentials.

**Locum Emergency Medicine Physician**

**Location:** Parker, Arizona

**Job Description:**

- Provide emergency medical care at an IHS facility starting in December
- Shift times: 8a-8p, 8p-8a with a minimum of 3 shifts and a maximum of 7 shifts, preference for 7 on 7 off rotating schedule
- Procedures include suture placement, I&D's, setting and splinting bone fractures, stabilization of critical patients, and advanced life support procedures including central lines and intubation for all ages
- Hospitalist handles admissions
- Trauma cases are transferred to Phoenix, Flagstaff, or Tucson
- CT is on-site and ambulances are accepted

**Support:**

- Nurses staff
- Single physician coverage at night
- 1 mid-level working day shift early in the week (8 hours a day)
- Support from RNs, LVNs, and MAs

**Requirements:**

- BC/BE FP or IM with 3 years of recent experience in emergency medicine
- Experience working in a facility with at least 10,000 visits annually
- BLS, PALS, DEA credentials required

**Back up Specialties:**

- Podiatry, Optometry, Dental available M-F 8a-5p
- Hospitalist available 24/7
